In 2017 I started my new spiritual journey, leaving Christianity. This major change came from learning about the Sabbath. I was exposed to the Hebrew Calendar from watching a YouTube video that also talked about Sabbaths being connected to Yahuah’s Feast Days. I continued to watch videos and read my Bible in those early days of my spiritual journey. I needed that solitude time with Yahuah — to hear His voice and cry out to Him — because everything was new, leaving over forty years of my life as a Jehovah’s Witness.
In 2018, after going through that period of solitude, I did visit two churches that kept the Sabbath. Yahuah led me to the assembly that I have been a part of now for over eight years. I am thankful to Yahuah for the elders that offer good leadership, study of the Word, and upbuilding fellowship with like-minded Believers.
Since 2018, I was pleased that the elders followed the Biblical Hebrew Lunarsolar Calendar. As the years went on, I became more aware that believers in the body of Messiah follow different calendars. I reasoned to myself that all these different calendars to observe Yahuah’s Feast Days can’t all be correct.
In my earlier days in “The Walk,” I was pretty adamant about the calendar, as if it was a salvational issue. So I prayed to Yahuah, seeking guidance from His Word and His Ruach to lead me to all understanding.
Questions Brought Before Yahuah in Prayer

Is it salvational to be on the correct calendar before the next return of Yahusha? -

Will believers receive eternal destruction if they are using the wrong time-keeping system to pinpoint the beginning of a new Biblical year?
I prayed to Yahuah about these questions concerning the calculation of the Biblical Calendar. After growing in maturity in this Set Apart Walk, Yah’s Ruach convicted me of something I want to share with every sister who has wrestled with this same question.
The different calendars believers use to observe Yah’s Feast Days are NOT SALVATIONAL. Each calendar that’s being used points to the Messiah.
Believers should not be overly concerned about calendar dates, but rather focus on the spiritual application of Yahuah’s Feast Days — which demonstrates that Yahusha is the means of our salvation to receive eternal life in the Kingdom that’s expressed in the Master’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9–10).
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

We are familiar with Exodus 12:1–2, when Yahuah Himself directly instructed Moses and Aaron to begin the count for the New Year — to establish Yahuah’s Feast Days for the twelve tribes and a mixed company that joined them. They left Egypt together as a community to become a Set Apart nation for Yahuah. As long as they were obedient to Yah’s covenant, all believers would be following the same calendar for Yahuah’s Feast Days.
Yahuah has been spiritually gathering His people together from the four corners of the earth to be in covenant with Him (out of figurative Egypt). Instead of the Torah being written on tablets, Yahuah will write His law in their hearts (Jeremiah 31:33; Hebrews 8:10).
In the Kingdom, all Believers will be observing the same calendar — the same time-keeping system — that will transcend into eternity under the instruction and authority of our Master and King, Yahusha, our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14–16). In the Kingdom, there will be perfect love, unity, and peace as we worship the Most High together, shoulder to shoulder (Zephaniah 3:9).
In the Body of the Messiah, people must guard against being too focused on calendar dates. We should put our primary focus on the spiritual significance of Yahuah’s Feast Days — to build up our faith and appreciation for Yahusha, who fulfills the substance of each Feast Day for our eternal salvation (Colossians 2:16–17).
As we continue to gather for Yahuah’s Feast Days, may we rejoice together in unity, as these occasions are a “shadow” of “the good things to come” (Hebrews 10:1). These Kingdom promises are the good things to come through Yahusha, our King and High Priest.

you don’t love your brother.”1 John 4:20
Only those who have shown pure love for Yahuah, Yahusha, and for their brothers and sisters will be in the Kingdom. Loving your brethren is a SALVATIONAL REQUIREMENT (1 John 3:14–15; 1 John 4:20; Matthew 22:37–40; Matthew 25:31–46; John 13:34–35; James 2:14–17). The Bible says you cannot love Elohim if you don’t love your brother (1 John 4:20). This is what is salvational — not the following of a time-keeping calendar system for the Feast Days.
Yahusha is also our atonement sacrifice that covers Believers as we study the Word to grow in our understanding of the calendar and other topics where the body of the Messiah may hold different points of view. As we seek truth, it is important to remember: “knowledge puffs up but love builds up” (1 Corinthians 8:1).
May we celebrate Yahuah’s Feast Days by expressing love from our hearts, feasting on the Word, breaking bread together, worshipping Yahuah, and appreciating Yahusha — who is the fulfillment of Yahuah’s Feast Days.

Of importance is “Are the feast days a salvation issue”? Another important quote from your article is ” As we seek truth, it is important to remember…knowledge puffs up, but charity edifieth.” (I Cor. 8:1). Such a great meditation verse in the lead up to and during the Pesach season. It’s when Abba has us focus on Yahusha’s sacrifice to rid us of the puffed-up leaven of sin. May we all deflate and bring down to size whatever seeking after knowledge interferes with attaining to the eternal life we have been offered in Yah’s Kingdom.

Excellent contribution, Sister Robbie! I loved so much about your article: especially pointing out our duty as believers to love one another. Scripture says that without love, we are nothing. And wow, so many scriptures saying we won’t make it to the Kingdom if we lack love. This line resonated with me also: “Believers should not be overly concerned about calendar dates, but rather focus on the spiritual application of Yahuah’s Feast Days.” I have two great friends in the walk who both keep different calendars, one even observes a different weekly Sabbath day. And I can testify firsthand that it’s possible to enjoy very sweet fellowship despite what we disagree on biblically. I reach out to them to show my personal interest in them as individuals. When we talk, mutual love and concern is expressed although we have different views on the calendar and other topics. “Love bears all things” (1 Corinthians 13:7) Love is what’s truly salvational.
