Refined by Fire: Finding Strength and Faith in Trials

Is there anything too hard for our Alahym? Is there any hidden thing from The Most High?

He knows all, Yahuah gives and takes away as Job tells us in Job 1:21,

“Yahuah gave and he hath taketh away; blessed be the name of Yahuah.”

Despite our trials and tribulations, Yahuah is ever present in our time of need (Psalm 46:1). But let me ask you my sweet sister, how are we to know we are in need in the first place unless we are put through the fire? Yes, we acknowledge our need for a savior at the time we decide to be immersed, and begin this journey on the pathway to righteousness. But, I cannot say that any trial I have gone through hasn’t taken me to a deeper place with Yahuah. I did not see or fully grasp my need in certain areas of my life, the need to be refined or put through that flame until Yahuah brought me to the other side. Perhaps this is why our dear brother James wrote in James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Throughout this time leading up to Shabaut; which is only a short period away, has been both a period and process of self- reflection, correction, discipline and learning. Yahuah has been showing me that this walk is not to be taken for granted, not to be taken lightly and that if we ask, we shall receive (Matthew 7:7). Allow me to explain, some months prior to Pasach, I began praying that Abba would remove anything in me that is not of him, to prepare me to be ready for his Pasach and the appointed times that he wills for me to participate in, that is the days he allows me to have since we are not promised tomorrow. This prayer I prayed many times afterwards and let me say, Yahuwah hears our prayers. Proverbs 15:29 tells us that “Yahuah is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.” An unexpected leak happened in the home we were living in early May, and as the home filled with water, my husband praised Yahuah through it all.

The higher the water filled, the louder his praise to the Most High. All glory be to Yahuah for the praise and assurance that he placed in my husband and none look at us but to Yahuah.

Little did I know, this began a trial for me on the inside, a band aid being peeled off an infected wound I did not truly realize was there, and Yahuah was getting ready to do some surgery. Doubt, callousness and frustration towards Yahuah and questions of my walk began unwinding before my very eyes. Complacency towards the secret place with Yahuah began settling in. Buried questions and thoughts came to the surface and I began realizing the stench I was before Yahuah. He began showing me to remain covered is a daily decision, to remain under his presence no matter how hard the waves hit is essential in this walk. We will sink if we take our eyes off Yahusha, off the way.

Yahuah is our fortress (Proverbs 18:10) our strong tower, and He does not move ever! He waits with open arms and has a seat for us should we allow him to. Remain in prayer, keep your eyes on Yahusha, even when your flesh is tugging and screaming to say otherwise. To Yahuah be the glory forever and ever ! Hallalu-Yahuah! Much, much, ahaba to each one of you in Messiah Yahusha.
