The Yahudi Woman: Living by the Fruits of the Spirit

The Yahudi Woman: Living by the Fruits of the Spirit

All believers are called to live by the Fruits of the Spirit, as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23. These qualities reflect the nature of Yahusha and are the result of a Set-Apart life led by the Ruach haQodesh—the Spirit who dwells within and guides those who walk in obedience.

But what is the Ruach haQodesh? We find the best definition in Yahusha’s own words. Though the Ruach haQodesh is present throughout Scripture, Yahusha specifically describes its role in John 14:26:

“But the Comforter, which is the Ruach haQodesh, whom the Father will send in my Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (Cepher)

The Ruach haQodesh teaches us everything that is good, Qodesh (holy), and righteous. These are the very characteristics Yahuah, our Elohim, desires to instill in us.

What Are the Fruits of the Ruach?

  • Love
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Forbearance (Patience)
  • Kindness
  • Goodness
  • Faithfulness
  • Gentleness
  • Self-Control

Living out these fruits is an ongoing journey of spiritual growth and transformation for all who follow the Way. But how do we, as Women of Yahuah, cultivate these qualities in our lives?

Walking in the Fruits of the Spirit

  1. Love
A Yahudi woman expresses love through care for her family, service to those in need, and kindness to strangers. Her love is selfless, given freely without expecting anything in return.

  2. Joy
True joy is not dependent on circumstances but on the hope and salvation found in Yahuah and His Son, Yahusha. A Yahudi woman chooses to focus on Yahuah’s goodness, even in difficult times. This becomes a powerful testimony as she encourages and uplifts others.

  3. Peace
A woman walking in the Spirit carries inner peace, which protects her heart and mind. She is called to be a peacemaker—one who seeks to bring reconciliation, whether in her home, workplace, assembly, or community. Her presence exudes calmness, making her a source of stability for others.

  4. Patience (Forbearance)
Patience is demonstrated through endurance, bearing with others in love. A Yahudi woman does not grow bitter or angry but waits on Yahuah’s perfect timing in all things—relationships, personal growth, and life circumstances.

  5. Kindness
Kindness is generosity in action. A woman of Yahuah is thoughtful, helpful, and considerate, always looking for ways to bless others with a pure heart. She does not seek recognition but gives freely, showing empathy and mercy to those around her.

  6. Goodness
Moral excellence defines her character. She walks in Yah-filled integrity, choosing to do what is right according to Torah. Virtue is her trademark, setting her apart as one who seeks to reflect Yahuah’s grace and mercy. She engages in good works, such as acts of charity, witnessing, and interceding in prayer for others.

  7. Faithfulness
A Yahudi woman is steadfast and trustworthy. She remains faithful to Yahuah, her spouse (if married), and the commitments she makes. Through trials and challenges, she clings to Yahuah’s promises, trusting in His guidance. She is also faithful in prayer and the study of Scripture, continually strengthening her walk.

  8. Gentleness
Gentleness is not weakness, but strength under control. A Yahudi woman is humble, not harsh or abrasive. She carefully considers her words and actions, seeking to uplift others rather than tear them down.

  9. Self-Control
A spiritually mature woman exercises discipline in her emotions, desires, and behaviors, ensuring they align with her Set-Apart walk. She manages her time and resources wisely, demonstrating godly restraint and wisdom in all areas of life.

A Life That Reflects Yahuah

By walking in the Fruits of the Spirit, a Yahudi woman shines as an example of Yahuah’s love and character. Her life is one of continual growth, and as she walks in the Ruach, these fruits naturally manifest in her relationships and daily interactions.

May we all strive to live by these fruits, allowing the Ruach haQodesh to refine and shape us into women who glorify Yahuah in all we do.
